The old city is located on a peninsula that has emerged in 1763,

Rovinj reveals the hidden beauty of cultural antiquities and archaeological sites. If you are attracted in archaeology, of particularly interest is old bronze settlement site Moncodogno which dates from 2000 to 1200 BC. The specificity of Rovinj makes ornithological reserve – Polud Swamp, with more than 200 species of birds and geological “monument of nature” of global value – “Fantasy” stone pit.
Rovinj Heritage Museum is located in the baroque palace Califfi and offers interesting and valuable works of the old masters as well as contemporary art. Rovinj is also known for its fishing tradition dinners with local music, delicious seafood, wine and olive oil. You also want to check unique Rovinj boat “batani” and enjoy in fisherman songs called “bitinada“. Gorgeous sea view and the magnificent trees will lead you to many beautiful beaches. Of particular interests are rocky capes and coves with pebbles where you can find your own paradise.
